Privacy Policy
Martora is a business dashboard for makers who sell on Etsy, Square, in person, or any combination. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account email. Your account is identified by an email address you provide, so you can sign back in and manage everything under one account.
- Connected platform data. If you connect Etsy or Square, we access your shop profile, listings/catalog, and order data through their official APIs, using only the read-only permissions you grant. We never request permission to change your shop.
- Manual entries. Products and in-person sales you add by hand are stored on our servers so they survive a reinstall and sync across your devices.
- Recipes and materials. What your products are made from, and how much you have on hand, is stored on your device and, if you're signed in, synced to your account.
- Diagnostics. Basic crash reports and anonymous usage analytics help us fix problems. These do not identify you personally.
How we use your information
To show your revenue, orders, and listings; to compute low-stock and low-material alerts from your sales and recipes; to generate a daily AI recommendation; to manage your subscription; and to keep multiple connected sources under one account.
AI recommendations
The daily recommendation is produced by sending an already-computed summary to Anthropic's Claude API. We never send your raw platform data, access tokens, or personal information to Anthropic.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising or tracking. We share data only with the service providers that run Martora, acting on our behalf:
- Etsy and Square — your own connected accounts, to read the data above.
- Supabase — our database and backend hosting.
- RevenueCat & the App Store — to manage subscriptions and the free trial.
- Sentry & PostHog — crash reporting and anonymous product analytics.
Where your tokens live
Your Etsy and Square access and refresh tokens are stored only in our server-side database, never on your device. Your device holds only Martora's own session token, which can't be used to access Etsy or Square directly.
Data retention & deletion
Disconnecting a platform stops future access; the disconnected record is kept for a limited period in case you reconnect, then purged. You can permanently delete your account, connected sources, and stored tokens at any time from Settings → Full reset & delete account. This can't be undone.
Children
Martora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
